Wildlife

Photographing wildlife can be extremely challenging but very rewarding.  Patience (not to mention a long, heavy lens) is often critical, but it seems that whenever I plan to pursue one species, a different one presents itself.  Living in the east, I rarely have the opportunity to photograph some of the megafauna of the American West, therefore birds are my favorite subject, of which I have far too many to display here.  I happen to love birds, however they can be very difficult to approach closely enough for a good photo, especially in a perfect setting.   I often encounter animals when set up for photographing landscapes, leaving me with no photos, only memorable experiences.
